St. Andrew’s Community Hospital (SACH) is a community service by the St. Andrew’s Mission Hospital, a non-profit voluntary welfare organisation set up in 1913.

Established in 1992, SACH aims to provide affordable sub-acute and intermediate care for the community. In April 2005, it moved to a brand new 11-storey, 200-bedded hospital in Simei. SACH is the first community hospital to be located next to an acute-care general hospital – Changi General Hospital. This helps to facilitate better coordinated and integrated care for patients, and sharing of services.

We provide our patients round-the-clock care. Our care team, helmed by a rehabilitation medicine specialist, comprises of dedicated doctors, nurses, and therapists.The St. Andrew’s Medical Mission is one of the pioneer medical care providers in Singapore. In 1913, Dr. Charlotte Ferguson-Davie, wife of the first Anglican Bishop of Singapore, founded St. Andrew’s Medical Mission to meet the desperate need for medical care for the underprivileged migrant population, particularly the women and children. Over the years, it set up and consolidated various health services ranging from dispensaries in the early years, St. Andrew’s Mission Hospital in 1923, St. Andrew’s Orthopaedic Hospital for Children in 1939 and more recently, St. Andrew’s Community Hospital in 1992.]

St. Andrew’s Mission Hospital (SAMH) is a non-profit voluntary welfare organisation. It has been repositioned to be the corporate headquarters that oversees the operations of St. Andrew’s Community Hospital, St. Andrew’s Mission Hospital Clinic, St. Andrew’s Lifestreams – providing training and education in counselling and pastoral care, and St. Andrew's Autism Centre.

With St. Andrew’s Community Hospital now being located at Simei, SAMH plans to redevelop the Elliot Road site into a centre for helping autistic youth and adults. St. Andrew’s Autism Centre will be an integrated and comprehensive centre providing medical, education, day care, vocational training, job placement and respite care services. SAMH is working closely with the Ministry of Community, Youth and Sports, and the Ministry of Education on the setting up of this centre.
