Viceroy of Min-Zhe

Viceroy of Min-Zhe

The Viceroy of MinZhe (閩浙总督), fully referred to as "the Governor General of the Fujian, Taiwan, Zhejiang Provinces and surrounding areas; Overseeing Military Affairs, Food Production; Manager of Waterways; Director of Civil Affairs" (總督台灣福建浙江等處地方,提督軍務、糧餉、管理河道兼巡撫事), was one of eight viceroys of the Qing Dynasty in China. The Viceroy had jurisdiction over the provinces of Fujian, Taiwan and Zhejiang. Because Fujian and Taiwan were once the combined province of Fujian (South of the Jiangsu), the province was known, Chinese historians have a viewpoint often: [The Quanzhouwas the most important port in China before middle 19th century Shanghai raised so arrested pirates was main task by Viceroy of MinZhe] ..
