Tobay Beach is a public beach on Jones Beach Island, a barrier island in the Town of Oyster Bay, in Nassau County, New York. There are no residents. Access to the beach is via the Ocean Parkway.
Tobay Beach is far east of Jones Beach State Park and just west of West Gilgo Beach across the Nassau-Suffolk County line. It is run by and named after the Town of Oyster BAY. It contains four pavilions, five food stands, surfing and soft boarding area, and a picnic area. The town has been trying to stabilize the dunes since 1989. Tobay Beach has been considered an uncrowded alternative to Jones Beach. Town of Oyster Bay residents can get in with a local permit for free, but others have to pay a fee.
