Discovery World is a European television network known as Discovery Civilisation from 1999 - 2008. Discovery World offers an experience of the very best factual programming from around the globe. Discovery World showcases a rich and colourful selection of high quality factual programmes from around the globe, with different genres. Discovery World offers factual series and documentaries programmes including:

Discovery World offers compelling mix of history, culture, real life stories, investigation and mystery shows.

The channel started out as Discovery Civilisation in 1999 and focused on history-related programmes. On April 18, 2008, the channel changed its name and extended its programming lineup to also include programmes about culture, crime and "mysterious phenomena".[1][2] From March 1, 2011 Discovery World Italy will be visible in the Mediaset Premium with BBC Knowledge Italy.
