Citibank Park is a 6,002-seat baseball-only stadium in Central Islip, New York that hosted its first regular season baseball game on May 14, 2000, as the tenants of the facility, the Long Island Ducks, took on the Aberdeen Arsenal. It was built as to house the Ducks baseball team, though the Long Island Lizards of Major League Lacrosse used the park for some of their home games during the 2001 season.

On July 17, 2001, Citigroup acquired European American Bank (EAB) for $1.6 billion and $350 million in preferred stock. The acquisition resulted in a name change from EAB Park to Citibank Park. [ [http://www.citi.com/citigroup/corporate/history/eab.htm Citigroup acquires EAB] ]
