János Baranyai

János Baranyai

János Baranyai (born June 24, 1984) is a Hungarian weightlifter.

On August 13, 2008 at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China, Baranyai suffered a dislocated elbow while attempting to lift 148 kg in the men's 77 kg snatch. Prior to the Beijing Olympics, Baranyai had placed 9th in the snatch at the 2008 European Championships in Lignano Sabbiadoro, Italy with a 147 kg snatch, and finished 8th overall with a total of 325 kg.
