John Richard Murtagh (born on 21 July 1967 in Canterbury, New Zealand) is a former cricketer. He captained the New Zealand Under-19 team in three Youth Tests and three Youth ODIs in 1986/7. However, he was not able to make the grade at senior level, playing in only six first-class matches.
