The Wheel of Brisbane is a Ferris wheel installation erected as part of the 20th Anniversary of World Expo 88 and 150th Anniversary of the State of Queensland 1859-2009 Celebrations [http://blogs.brisbanetimes.com.au/skip/archives/2008/03/the_big_wheel.html] .

It is 60 metres high, and costs $15 per adult for a 15-minute scenic ride. [http://www.news.com.au/couriermail/story/0,23739,24152735-3044,00.html] It is located at the northern entrance to South Bank Parklands, the transformed World Expo '88 site, and opened in August 2008. It is scheduled to be an attraction of South Bank throughout 2008 and 2009.
