Al Batinah Region

Al Bāţinah (Arabic: [الباطنة] ) is one of the regions "(mintaqah)" of Oman.

Al Batinah Region, otherwise known as Al Batinah It occupies an important location on the coast of Gulf of Oman.It lies between Khatmat Malahah in the north and Ras AL Hamra in the south and confined between Al Hajr Al Gharbi mountains in the west and the Gulf of Oman in the east .

Al Batinah Region contains the largest number of wilayat numbering twelve :Sohar, Ar Rustaq, Shinas, Liwa, Saham, Al Khaburah, As Suwayq, Nakhal, Wadi Al Maawil, Al Awabi, Al Musanaah, Barka.

Sohar City is one of the Regional centers of the region. It is a great city with a corniche, fishing souq and lots of mosques. There's a town nearby called Majan. If you did'nt know, you do now. BIG houses with stairs and 3 bedrooms.
