The List of University of Florida Honorary Degree Recipients contains University of Florida alumnus and other people with ties to either the University or the state of Florida who have made outstanding achievements in their fields that reflect the ideals and uphold the purpose of the University and as such have been awarded Honorary Degrees. The first was given to Andrew Sledd in 1909, the first President of the University of Florida. The first woman to receive a degree was prominent Florida author, Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings in 1941.
