History

Transcare was formed in 1994 by two paramedics covering the Bronx area of New York City. It is comprised of several companies that have joined together, they inclue Transcare, MetroCare, Metropolitan Ambulance, Metro North Ambulance, United Ambulance, UniMet, and Abbey Richmond Ambulance. They hold many 911 contracts in New York City, Westchester and the Hudson Valley in New York.
