Flemington Railway Station is a railway station in Sydney Australia. It is located near the area known as Flemington though the technical name for the suburb is Homebush West. On the north side of the station are the Flemington markets, and on the south side is a local shopping centre. At the western end of the station platforms is the Flemington maintenance centre, which is a storage and workshop area for some of CityRail's rolling stock, including the inter-urban train fleet. The ticket office is located on the east side of the station, connected by stairs to the shopping area and The Crescent street to the south, and connected by a walkway to the north which leads to the Flemington markets. There is a small shop near the ticket office which sells newspapers and some snack foods. In the 1950s there were sale yards for cattle on the north side of the station. Cattle would come down from the country and cattle would be sold there. The Flemington markets are now in that location.
