Klepon

Klepon (pronounced Klê-pon) is a traditional Indonesian rice cake, specifically comes from Javanese cuisine. It is basically a boiled rice cake, stuffed with gula jawa (palm sugar), and rolled in grated coconut. The color of Klepon is green because it is flavored with Pandan paste made from Pandan plant which its leaves are used widely in South East Asian cooking.

Ingredients:

* 300 grams sticky rice flour or glutenious rice
* 30 grams sagu
* 8-10 pandan leaves or pandan paste
* 150 grams palm sugar
* 300 grams coconut

How to Make:

* Grind Pandan leaves finely, mix with water or just use pandan paste. Grate the coconut
* Mix flours, add pandan paste and a little water.
* Form balls, put palm sugar inside
* Boil until done
* Sprinkle with shred coconut
