"The Courier" is the free weekly newspaper of Newcastle University's Student Union. Established in 1948, the current daily readership is around 12,000 most of which are students at the University. The newspaper is published every week during term time, along with the bi-weekly "Pulp" entertainments magazine. "The Courier" has won numerous awards including the Guardian's "Student Newspaper of the Year" award.
