A famous temple of lord hanuman on a hill by name Ranmandla ("Rana-mandalam")is a place to visit. A nice lake site of Ramjal water tank.Even a story is woven around the formation of this Ramjal ("called Ramjalla locally"). It is said that, during the 14 years of aranya vaasa, Rama accompanied by Sita and Lakshmana, passed through Adoni. Sita was thirsty by the time, she reached this place;there was no water source in vicinity, so Rama shot an arrow in the ground, then water splashed out, there by quenching Sita's thirst. Local "Dhobis"(washer men) even show some small well like construction, claim to have the arrow still deep in there. Apart from natural springs, water from Tungabhadra river fills up this tank, and is the source of water for entire town. The tank-bund is a nice place to visit especially in the evenings, and most importantly the birds which come in winter for a hault in the lake, it is very beauteous, many people visit to see the movement of the birds.

There is an age old Ganesha temple down the hill, better say, an idol carved out of rock, similar to siddi vinayak idol of Mumbai. There is a local saying that, when the water level reach the belly button of this idol, the whole town would drown in the water. Though never happened till date; touch wood!
