Transgressive phenotype

Transgressive phenotype

A Transgressive phenotype is a phenotype that is more extreme than the phenotype displayed by either of the parents. For example, if a six foot tall man and a five foot nine inch tall woman had a six foot four inch son, he would be displaying a transgressive phenotype for height.
