Pulidindi is a village in Atreyapuram Mandal in East Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh State in Republic of India. The population is 1200 (agglomeration 1500) (2006 census). It is located coord|16|51|31.64|N|81|45|56.92|E| at the middle of the Godavari River delta.

History

Its original name is Pulidindi.

Attractions

The biggest attraction in Pulidindi is the River Godavari and Canal. Sattiraju Lakshmi Narayana (also known as Bapu) directed his first movie Saakshi (1967) in the village, and later made many more, including the superhit Movie Muthyala Muggu (1975) shot mostly on the Pulidindi Canal.

Venu Gopala Swamy temple is a major attraction in Pulidindi village where lord krishna have Moustaches (rare for an idol to have a moustache).

Temple

The Sri Venugopala Swamy Temple,located in Pulidindi village, Atreyapuram Mandal, East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, is a fine temple presenting a congenial and pleasant atmosphere to bring devotees close to God. What makes this temple so unique is the diversion from the usual temples is Lord Sri Krishna have Moustaches.

Transportation

Pulidindi is well connected to all parts of the state. It has an excellent road connectivity to all important places. Rajahmundry is the nearest city which have train and airport facilities.
