Marlborough, MA company specializing in fire protection equipment and accessories. Founded in 1963, Space Age Electronics is known for it's notification appliances.History
In 1971, Space Age introduced the first combined audio/visual notification appliance, the AV32. They used relabeled Federal Vibratone 450D's for their series of 2DCD horns, used in the AV32. Around the same time, they also introduced the V33 retrofit light plate. This was designed to add an incandescent light to an existing horn. The V33 also came in the form of a standalone light, for situations where a retrofit would not be possible. Sometime in the late 80's, Space Age introduced a strobe version of the V33. Instead of using a dim incandescent light, it used a xenon strobe. The AV32 was discontinued in the mid 90's due to new ADA codes, but the V33 continued to be manufactured for general signaling purposes. It was replaced in 2006 by the Guardian Light.
