Diwan/Diwanji (title)

A title used in various Indian kingdoms in the medieaval and later medieaval ages to denote the highest officials in the court after the king; the suffix 'ji' is added as a mark of respect in India. Perhaps the most famous of these Prime Ministers were those of the South Indian Kingdom of Travancore.
