Andries Bekker

Andries Bekker is a South African rugby union player.

Bekker is a young lock and has already burst into the international scene with some stellar performances. He is the son of Springbok legend Hennie Bekker who was also a lock.

Andries only got his chance during the 2008 Tri Nations Series after the injury of veteran Bakkies Botha and added a new dimension to the Springboks with his large 120kg frame which assists him when bustling down the midfield.

Andries currently plays for the Stormers who are based in Cape Town.
