Sky Blue FC is an American women’s soccer team, founded in 2008, which is a member of Women's Professional Soccer, the premier women’s soccer league in the United States.

The team play their home games at Yurcak Field on the campus of Rutgers University in the town of Piscataway Township, New Jersey. The club's colors are sky blue, dark blue, black and white. [http://www.nj.com/sports/ledger/index.ssf?/base/sports-0/1200807333158880.xml&coll=1]

Sky Blue FC is part of the larger Sky Blue Soccer organization, based in Bedminster, New Jersey, an integrated program that allows players to progress in soccer from a young age with an opportunity for long-term growth.

History

On 16 September 2008 the initial WPS player allocation was conducted; US Women's National Team players Heather O'Reilly, Natasha Kai and Christie Rampone were allocated to Sky Blue. [http://voices.washingtonpost.com/soccerinsider/2008/09/wps_allocation_list.html]

On 24 September 2008 the WPS International player allocation was conducted; Australian forward Sarah Walsh, Brazilians Rosana and Ester and Canadian Kelly Parker also were allocated to Sky Blue. [http://www.womensprosoccer.com/newsitem_ektid5106.aspx]
