Saxtead Green Windmill

Saxtead Green Windmill is a windmill at Saxtead Green in Suffolk, East Anglia in England. It is situated 2.5 miles north west of Framlingham on the A1120 road.

The mill was built around 1700 and is one of the finest post mills in the region. It was substantially rebuilt at least twice, the second time in the 1950s when it was taken into state guardianship. It is now under the care of English Heritage [ [http://www.english-heritage.org.uk/server/show/nav.001001001013003007008 Saxtead Green Post Mill : Suffolk : East of England : View properties : Properties : Days Out & Events : English Heritage ] ] .The machinery and millstones are still in workable condition, though the mill is no longer used to grind flour.
