USTECH History

Sudan University of Science and Technology started as Khartoum Technical School and School of Commerce.Later on School of radiology(1932), School of Arts (1946), Khartoum Technical Institute (1950), shambat Institute of Agriculture (1954), Institute of Music & Drama and the Higher Institute of Physical Education (1969) became an integral part of the Khartoum Polytechnic Institute in (1975) .The need for Higher specialized Technical education in Sudan expanded the school in to Sudan University of Science and Technology in (1990)

Distance Learning and Library System

Sudan University now is going through a big changes and developments.The library systems is being upgraded electronically in the past six years. The library system now in the phase of using Virtual Library System in a collaboration with many Sudanese higher institutions and the Higher Ministry of Education in Sudan.

Political Activities & Student Body

The student body represents the difference in political and ethnic views found among the Sudanese culture and the main idea is to unify the Sudanese people and help in educating people about the political issues in Sudan.

Sports Facilities

Sudan University has one of the large sports facilities which mainly found in Engineering campus at Khartoum.The soccer stadium at Sudan University used as primarily space for visitor and local teams training and games.
