"A Prehistoric Tale" is a 1990 [Hall of Light http://hol.abime.net] computer game for the Amiga and Atari ST. The game has both puzzle and platformer elements to it. It is said [Richard Karsmakers talking to Thalion Webshrine 2003] to be inspired by the Commodore 64 game "Dino Eggs". The game is particularly notable for its title music, an original and much lauded composition by Jochen Hippel.

The game developer team was called "The Lost Boys", a notable collection of Atari ST programers and artists. TLB comprised of (amongst others) the brothers Tim and David Moss. Tim would go on to join Sony and would work on many great games including being the lead programmer on the award winning Playstation 2 titles God of War and God of War II.
