Adaptive user interfaces

An adaptive user interface is a UI which dynamically tailors its layout and elements to the needs of the user or context. Some affordances may be displayed or removed based on a users actions.

= Benefits =User interfaces can be simplified or optimized for the users current task.

= Criticisms =Automatically reconfiguring the user interface may disorient the user.
