Ed Nell

Ed Nell

Edward Ian Nell (born August 6, 1978 in Norfolk, England) is a British DJ, known as Ed Nell.

He presents networked mid mornings on Beacon Radio, Mercia FM, Wyvern FM and Saturday breakfast on 96.4 BRMB. He has previously worked at Beacon Radio, Wyvern FM and Island FM in Guernsey. He has also presented occasional radio shows on GWR FM Bristol, Leicester Sound, KL.FM 96.7 and covered the One Network’s evening show Music Control.

Before radio Ed played semi-professional rugby union for North Walsham R.F.C. and had trials with Bedford Blues, Leicester Tigers, Northampton Saints and Saracens F.C. as well as completing a degree at Loughborough University.

He was educated at Gresham's School, Holt, Norfolk, between 1990 and 1997. ["Old Greshamian Club Address Book" (Cheverton & Son Ltd., Cromer, 1999), p. 124]
