Turlington Hall is a classroom and office building located on the University of Florida campus in Gainesville, Florida. It was named for the former Secretary of Education for the State of Florida, Ralph Turlington.

Academics and offices

The hall was opened in 1977 and houses most of the administrative offices for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

It is also home to the Office of Academic Technology, providing resources, technical assistance, and equipment to assist UF faculty, staff and students. The Center for Instructional Technology and Training promotes the use of technology in instruction and provides one-on-one training, classroom instruction and individual consultation.

Turlington Hall Courtyard

The Turlington Hall Courtyard is a popular between-class hangout for students. It has permanent brick tables that are often used by various student organizations to advertise events and recruit more members.

Also in the courtyard is a large rock surrounded by benches, affectionately known to students as "The Big Potato" because of its resemblance to the root vegetable.
