The Age of Silicon is an option in the
Physics Higher School Certificate (HSC) syllabus defined by the state government education board (Board of Studies ) inNew South Wales ,Australia . Other physics options are: Geophysics, Medical Physics, Astrophysics and From Quanta to Quarks. The content of this option is basically an introduction to electronics.This module increases students’ understanding of the applications and uses of physics, the implications of physics for society and the environment, and current issues, research and developments in physics.
