Amenities

Peasemore is a small village with a population of under 300 people. The nearest village shop and primary school is in Chieveley. Peasemore once had a village school, built in 1850, but it was closed in the 1950s. The old village post office in Hailey Lane closed around 1980 and was converted to a private residence. It still has a mail collection box in its wall, but this is only used to receive private mail now. However, the village is still home to a unpopular public house, The Fox & Hounds, a well used village hall, a cricket club & a large church dedicated to St Barnabas.
