Admiralty Inlet (Nunavut)

Admiralty Inlet (coord|72|30|N|86|0|W) [cite web |url=http://www.tageo.com/index-e-ca-v-14-d-m792087.htm?Admiralty+inlet |title=Admiralty Inlet |accessdate=2008-09-20 |publisher=tageo.com] is a body of water in Nunavut's Qikiqtaaluk Region. It extends southerly from Lancaster Sound along the western shore of Baffin Island's Borden Peninsula. At its most interior section, the inlet becomes Jungersen Bay. There are several islands within Admiralty Inlet including, Peter Richards Islands, Yeoman Island and Saneruarsuk Islands. The hamlet Arctic Bay is located on Uluksan Peninsula, a landform that juts into Admiralty Inlet south of Sirmilik National Park.

Admiralty Inlet sustains a large population of narwhals. Admiralty Inlet was first charted by Admiral Sir Edward Parry in 1820.
