Xan Tyler

Xan Tyler is a British singer.

Born and raised in South London, Tyler began her singing career in 1991. After working with numerous bands and as session singer, Tyler signed to Alan McGee's Creation Records as one half of synth pop duo Technique (the other half being musician Kate Holmes now of Client).

In 1999 Tyler and Kate Holmes colabroated with Mad Professor to create Mission Control. Mission Control released one album "Dub Showcase" on Poptones to cirtical acclaim and Xan joined Mad Professor on a european tour in 2000. Dub Showcase also feature a guest vocal from reggae icon Lee Scratch Perry.

In 2001 Tyler teamed up with legendary dance producer Timo Maas and as Orinoko they realeased "Island" on Positiva Records. This pairing saw Tyler introduced numerous dance producers and labels.

In 2002 Tyler collaborated once again with trance DJ Matt Darey (the first time being when Matt re-mixed 'Sun is Shining' for Technique) and they released "Wanna be an Angel" on Platipus Records.

Tyler went on to release two more records on Platipus, Altitude "Silence is Loud" and "The Key" with Neo & Farina in 2004.

Other notable releases included 'Feelings' with Mike Shiver on Lost Language & Solaris and 'Run Away' with Redd Square on Tatsumaki.

After a break from music to re-locate to Scotland and to start a new business, Tyler is currently working with pop ska band The Joys of Sound.
