MacTech

"MacTech" is the journal of Macintosh technology. A monthly magazine for "geeks" on the Apple Macintosh line of computers. It also runs articles about Mac software development in general, and about information technology subjects, intended for system administrators who work with Macintoshes.

The magazine was called "MacTech" for its first two issues, starting in 1984, then changed its name to MacTutor; at the time it defined itself as "a technical publication devoted to advancing programming knowledge of the Macintosh for both hacker and professional alike". It changed its name back to "MacTech" in 1993.

MacTech also provides a news aggregator service.

The magazine is privately owned, held by Xplain Corporation.
