International Stuttering Association

The International Stuttering Association (ISA) [ [http://www.stutterisa.org/ ISA website] ] is a nonprofit international support group organization for people who stutter. It was founded at the first ISA meeting in Linkoping, Sweden, in July 1995. [http://www.mnsu.edu/comdis/isad4/papers/pill.html An article about the International Stuttering Association] ]

Membership in ISA is only for national or international self-help organizations of people who stutter, not for individual persons with the exception of non-voting special categories such as Special Friends and Honorary Members.

The first honorary lifetime members of ISA are Jane Fraser of the Stuttering Foundation of America, and Judith Kuster.
