Georgia-Sweden relations

Georgia-Sweden relations are the bilateral relations between Georgia and Sweden. Both countries have a very close copperation since the break away of Abkhazia and South Ossetia. Georgia maintains an embassy in Stockholm, and Sweden covers Georgia from its embassy in Moscow, Russia. After the war, when Abkhazia and South Ossetia broke away from Georgia, Georgia and Sweden both did not recognize the independence of both countries. There were protests as the war was going on August 12, 2008. It was near the Russian embassy in Stockholm. The protests was held by a group of Georgians and Swedes.
