The 2013 Men's World Ice Hockey Championships will be held in Sweden. The games will be played in the Globe Arena in Stockholm and the Malmö Arena in Malmö.

Bidding process

After failing on it's last three bids, Sweden was finally successful, receiving 70 out of the 96 votes. Sweden defeated Belarus (15 votes), Hungary (8) and the Czech Republic (3).
