Kenny Håkansson is the bassist of the highly influential swedish rock & roll band The Hellacopters During his younger years Kenny regulary went through his fathers record collection along with Nicke and soon became fans of bands such as Kiss, The Stooges, The Ramones, Sex Pistols, The Damned and The Rolling Stones. [http://www.gametwo.com/HELLACOPTERS.HTM] The Hellacopters was founded by håkansson's childhood friend Nicke Andersson as a side project to his role as a drummer in the heavy metal band Entombed which are considered to be founders of death roll. The Hellacopters have released six ful length albums with their own material, two non album work compilations and a many other offical releases. They have also done several tours through out Scandinavia, Europe, U.S.A and Australia and opened up for The Rolling Stones, Kiss and ZZ Top and collaborated with artist such as Scott Morgan , The Flaming Sideburns and Gluecifer. In late 2007 the band announced that they were going to break up after the release of their collection of cover songs 'Head Off'.

Besides his work with The Hellacopters Håkansson has also contributed with songwriting to his fellow bandmate Robert Dahlqvist's side project Thunder Express.
