Fabio Onidi (born on March 9, 1988) is an Italian racing driver.
Biography
First races and championships
Fabio debuted in 2001 with the karts. Since he was a little boy he was fond in cars and motors. But his big passion comes out in 2001 when he tried for the first time riding in a kart. He partecipated at some competitions with a kart with CRG Chassis and Maxter motors obtaining best results thanks also to some advises by Mario Filippini, an expert in karts.
In 2002, Fabio competed with the category 100 Junior in some national and international competitions: Winter Cup,
Margutti Trophy ,Open Master Championship ,Italian Championship ,Montecarlo Municipal Circuit . The CRG - chassis builder - and Maxter - car motors builder - were satisfied with the driver Fabio performances and his continuity.Beginning of success
In 2003, he was the champion of the Italian Championship "go kart 100 Junior", and the 6th placed at the European Championship "go kart 100 Junior"
In 2004, he won 3rd place in the
Formula BMW Rookie Championship and the 8th place, in theFormula BMW Championship . he also earned the prize as Best Driver Improved (Formula1 Williams BMW) from the Motors Manager of BMW-Williams Mario Thiessen. During the season Fabio carried on to grow up and place himself always forward in charts conquering his first pole position on the Brno Track.In 2005, he competed at Formula BMW with
Eifelland Racing Team .In 2006, he won the Rookie Championship Formula Renault 2.0 UK by the team
Fortec . In 5 November, 2006, Fabio riceived the prize as winner of the Rookie Championship 2006 Formula Renault 2.0 UK.In 2007, he competed at
Eurocup Formula Renault andFormula Renault 2.0 Northern European Cup . As of 2008, he is competing atEuroseries 3000 .External links
