The 97th Air Refueling Squadron (97 ARS) was most recently part of the 92d Air Refueling Wing at Fairchild Air Force Base, Washington. It operated the KC-135 Stratotanker aircraft conducting aerial refueling missions.

Mission

History

The 97th flew antisubmarine patrols from, Dececember 1941–January 1942 then flew combat missions in the Mediterranean Theater of Operations between 28 December 1942 and 30 April 1945.
