Eurofest 2009

The country's quest to select their sixth entry at the Eurovision Song Contest will be held over a four-stage selection process. The first stage involves a professional jury selecting 15 songs to sing in the semi-final of Eurofest 2009. A mixture of jury and televoting will select 2 or 3 songs to progress to the final, with the winner being selected by an expert jury.

The fourth stage of the seletion will be following the artist's preparations for Moscow and the Eurovision Song Contest 2009.

Submission of songs to BTRC will be held between 5 October and 20 November 2008.

At Eurovision

Since Belarus is not one of the "Big Four" and is not the host of the 2009 contest, it will have to compete in one of the two semi-finals.
