Putoran Mountains

Putoran Mountains

The Putoran Mountains are a range of mountains on the nortwestern edge of the Central Siberian Plateau, in an area also known as the Putoran Plateau. The highest mountain in the range is Mount Kamen which stands 1,700m above sea level.

The nearest large settlement is the closed city of Norilsk. The area contains some of the largest known nickel deposits.
