"Altria Group v. Good" is a case to be heard by the United States Supreme Court to determine if tobacco makers who manufacture "light" and "low tar" cigarettes can be sued by a class of Maine smokers for claims that the companies deceive smokers into thinking the products are safer than regular cigarettes.

In recent decades, many smokers switched to "light" cigarettes, believing they posed less of a danger to their health. But studies have shown this common-sense view is wrong.
