John C. Bear is a Republican member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 97th District and was elected in 2006. He serves on the House Fianance, Aging and Older Adult Services, Intergovernmental Relations, and Labor Relations Committees.

Personal

Bear is a graduate of Warwick High School. He received a B.A. with Honors in Political Science from Temple University and a Master’s of Governmental Administration from the University of Pennsylvania. He is also a graduate of the Engalitcheff Institute on Comparative Political and Economic Systems at Georgetown University.
