Millbank, Ontario

Millbank is a community north of Stratford, Ontario, located in the township of Perth East, which is part of Perth County, Ontario. Millbank is home to the Millbank Summer Festival Theatre, an outdoor theatre company that presented its first set of plays in 2003 and to date has presented seven plays. Jeffrey Dale is the company's founding and current Artistic Director. Dedicated to works about the local area, the Millbank Summer Festival Theatre has presented such plays as Millbank's Mystic - the story of local psychic Vera Ernst McNichol (also a sold out hit at Listowel, Ontario's Theatre 311), Dancing in the Mow, The Sun and the Moon, The Elma Swamp Murder, Water, The Little Green Step Stool and Echoes from the Bank. The first and third seasons were presented at the Millbank Conservation Area, while the second season was presented at Morningdale Park just north of Millbank. Millbank is also home to Anna Maes Bakery and Restaurant.Millbank recently celebrated its 160th year anniversary with a weekend of celebrations.
