Galaxy (video game)

"Galaxy" is a strategy, turn-based, multiplayer computer game.

Gameplay

Each player commands one race, and initially controls one or more planets. The game take place in a galaxy filled with planets. Orders are issued in simple text format, and sent to a server by email, or using a web interface. Optionally, players can use programs called "turn viewers" each turn, and give orders visually.The purpose of the game is to conquer planets, research new technologies and build ships to fight other races, but variants exists with different rules and goals.Orders from all players are processed simultaneously when a given deadline is reached, usually a turn is run every few days.

*Galaxy:The original version of the game, developed by Russell Wallace. All other are variants of this original code-base and rules.

*Galaxy PBW:A variant of Blind Galaxy played on web instead that by email.
*GalaxyNT:A port of GalaxyNG for the Windows NT operating system.
*Blind GalaxyNG:A variant of GalaxyNG which adds some feature from Blind Galaxy
*Galaxy G:Discontinued
*Galactica and Galaxy/2:Discontinued
*Dragon Galaxy:Russian variant based on GalaxyPlus.
