Trace (webtoon)

Trace is a Korean webtoon comic series featured on media daum. It is written and illustrated by "Nasty Cat", and the series first debuted on July 4th of 2003. Trace follows a story in South Korea in a world littered with creatures called "Trouble", fiends that seem to appear out of nowhere and cause destruction wherever it goes. Along with the first appearance of "Troubles" some 30 years ago, some humans either were born with or acquired superhuman abilities. These humans are the only ones who can sigle handedly fight off a "Trouble". They are called "Trace". "Traces" are generally shunned by civilization, as a result of some of them misusing their powers for their own gain and are considered freaks.

The plot revolves around two main characters: Kang-Kwon Sah, a high schooler born as a "Trace" who attempts to hide his ability to be accepted, and Yoon-Sung Kim, who acquired "Trace" abilities during his early 30s. Soon after, his wife and daughter were taken away from him for experimental purposes.
