Ratnagotravibhaga

Ratnagotravibhaga

"Ratnagotravibhaga" is an important Buddhist treatise originally composed in Sanskrit. It has been rendered into Tibetan and Chinese and has had many major commentaries. Notable exegetes of the "Ratnagotravibhaga" have been Go Lotsawa and Dolpopa, amongst others. The "Ratnagotravibhaga" is notable for its exploration of the doctrine of the "buddha nature" (Wylie: "de bzhin gshegs pa'i snying po") or the view that all sentient beings are already buddhas or have the propensity to attain buddhahood.
