Church of England parish church inBristol ,England , first attested in 1240 [cite web | title=Houses of Augustinian canons - the Abbey of St Augustine, Bristol | url = http://www.british-history.ac.uk/report.aspx?compid=40273 | accessdate=2008-10-11] , rebuilt in 1480, damaged in 1940 by fire, and demolished in 1962. It took its name from its proximity to the church of the Abbey of St Augustine ("St Augustine the Great"), which is nowBristol Cathedral .The parish was united with that of
St George's Church, Brandon Hill after theSecond World War [cite web | title=Church of St Augustine-the-Less| url=http://www.churchcrawler.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/bristol4/augless.htm | accessdate=2008-10-11] .
