Party for National Recovery

The Party for National Recovery (French: "Parti pour le redressement national", PARENA) is a political party in Burundi. Formed in 1994, PARENA is led by former President Jean-Baptiste Bagaza. The party draws most of its support from the ethnic Tutsi minority. At the legislative elections in 2005, the party won 1.7%, but no seats. Bagaza is a senator.
