Certified Health Informatics Systems Professional

The Certified Health Informatics Systems Professional (CHISP) is a professional certification accrediting individuals IT professionals in the HIT profession.[1] The CHISP certification is offered by the American Society of Health Informatics Managers (ASHIM) for candidate who demonstrate skills in the following core competencies: Clinical, Communications, Compliance/Legal considerations, health informatics, Information Analysis, Medical Administrative Operations, and Technology. Its Industry Advisory Board is made up of 12 professionals who are experts in the Healthcare and Technology industry.[2]
