Charles James Denton (born 20 February 1965) is an English entrepreneur who has served as chief executive of a number of major business enterprises and charitable organizations.

Following education at Millfield School in the Somerset village of Street, Charles Denton began his career in financial services with the Brian Neal Group before moving to City of London with Charles Sturge & Co.

In 1989 he joined Molton Brown where, until its 2005 sale to Japan's Kao Corporation, he worked for fifteen years in various roles including Sales & Marketing Director, Chief Executive and Deputy Chairman. He has since devoted much of his time to volunteering in various charitable organisations, most notably Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity (GOSHCC) where he spent three years as Executive Director before becoming Chairman in 2009.

He was a trustee of Jeans for Genes from 2006 to 2009 and Deputy Chairman of electronic commerce group, ArgentVive plc, from 2007 to 2008. In December 2008 he was appointed trustee and chairman of the African Orphan’s charity Sentebale [1] ['Forget Me Not' in Sesotho], set up in April 2006 by Prince Seeiso of Lesotho and Prince Harry of Wales to help vulnerable children and young people in Lesotho, particularly those who have been orphaned as a result of HIV/AIDS. In 2009, Charles Denton became chairman of the award-winning creative agency Fold7.[2]

In 2010 he joined the Advisory Board of Heropreneurs [3] a new not for profit organisation established to help veterans and widows of those who have risked their lives in service of their country start-up in business.
